Figurative Sculpture
The Spring 2025 Semester will run from Monday March 31 through Sunday June 22, 2025.
Tuesdays, 6:45-9:45pm. Join Tig Tucker in our annual Figurative Sculpture class. The class will be structured as follows: 2 weeks on sculpting with live models followed by 2 weeks off to refine and finalize forms (6 weeks total with 3 live models, 6 weeks to refine and finalize forms). Students will learn how to sculpt gesturally, as well as work on longer poses and refined forms. Basic anatomy and proportions are taught, but students are encouraged and given the freedom to work expressively as well.
Class meets once a week for 12 weeks. The price of this class is $795 plus tax. Students have access to clay, glaze and open studio time every day from 6 am - 10 pm. Firing fees are 3 cents per cubic inch. Open studio time must be scheduled. Tool kits can be purchased on the first day.
