Zoom Handbuilding
The Spring 2025 Semester will run from Monday March 31 through Sunday June 22, 2025.
Tuesdays, 7-9pm. Classes will be 2 hours long and take place on Zoom with teacher Kelley Donahue. Students will learn the fundamentals of hand-building as well as new tips and tricks for those looking to further their practice at home. For local participants, tuition will cover classes, recordings, unlimited access to clay, materials, and the ability to fire at the student rate at our studio. For remote participants, tuition will cover live classes and recordings. All classes are recorded (in case you have to miss a livestream).
The cost of class w/ firings and materials is $500 plus tax. Out-of-city class cost (no firings or materials) is $280 plus tax. Class meets once a week for 12 weeks. Students have access to 5 clay bodies, glazes, cone 6 and cone 10 firings, and equipment in the studio. Open studio time is 6am-10pm every day, and all time is booked in the studio. Students in online classes do not have greenware storage in the studio. Work must be transported to and from studio or made in a single session at the studio. An in-person orientation is mandatory for new students. Clay and tools can be purchased/picked up during orientation. Firing fees are 3 cents per cubic inch.
