Wheel Meets Handbuilding

The Spring 2025 Semester will run from Monday March 31 through Sunday June 22, 2025.

Want to take a pottery class, but can’t decide between wheel and handbuilding? You don’t have to choose; the well rounded potter has a hand in both skillsets. Join us in Wheel Meets Handbuilding, a class where you will learn the basics of both techniques, or take your skills to the next level; making new and exciting forms while combining building methods.

The cost of classes will be $715 plus tax. Class meets once a week for 12 weeks. Students have access to 5 clay bodies, glazes, cone 6 and cone 10 firings, and equipment in the studio. Open studio time is 6am-10pm every day, and all time is booked in the studio. Firing fees are 3 cents per cubic inch. Tool kits can be purchased on the first day of class.

  • Tuesday AM 10am-1pm: Open Level Wheel/Handbuilding w/Ester Kwon
  • Friday PM 1:15-4:15pm: Open Level Wheel/Handbuilding w/Jessica Ayala
