Private lessons

Two-hour private lessons are perfect for 1-on-1 tutoring, a family activity, or date night for clay newbies and out-of-practice pros alike. It includes two hours of private instruction, and then your teacher will trim your pieces, glaze them and fire them later for you to have as a memento of your class. For a group of 4 and under you get to keep 2 pots per person, and for 5 and above it's 1 pot per person (if you want more you can pay the $15 per pot). We will text you when they are ready to be picked up (usually about 4 weeks). 

Private lessons are available to book Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, from 1:30-3:30pm.

• 1 person: $175
• 2 people: $250
• 3 people: $350
• 4 people: $450
• 5 people: $550
• For additional people, please visit our parties page. Consecutive lessons can be booked via email. 

To schedule a lesson, email hello@gasworksnyc.com. In the email, please let us know all of the following information: 

• a few dates (a few weeks out) that you can do a lesson
• what you want to learn
• how many people the lesson is for
• the ages of participants
• 16 digit gift card, if you have one

Private lessons are preferably scheduled 2-3 weeks in advance. If there is an availability with one of our teachers that matches your availability, we will send a confirmation email as well as a PayPal invoice, and a google calendar invite.  Please respond to those emails asap to confirm you will be attending (please also let us know if you changed your mind and won't be attending so we can reserve the spot for someone else). If you have a gift card, we will skip the PayPal step but still send you a google calendar invite. Please view our cancellation policy here.
