Wheel
The Spring 2025 Semester will run from Monday March 31 through Sunday June 22, 2025.
In our Wheel Classes, you will learn the fundamentals of throwing on the potter’s wheel, or enhance your mastery of clay, form, and surface techniques. Open level classes welcome both beginner potters and returning students – beginners can expect to be introduced to the basics, while more advanced potters will receive guidance for their skill level from our talented instructors. Saturday AM is a beginner-friendly class, while Monday AM is Intermediate/Advanced classes. Wednesday AM is now Foundations of Chinese Teaware (see drop-down menu under 'Classes'). Intermediate/Advanced students are required to have at least 3 semesters under their belt, or equivalent experience.
The cost of most classes will be $715 plus tax. Classes meet once a week for 12 weeks. Students have access to 5 clay bodies, glazes, cone 6 and cone 10 firings, and equipment in the studio. Open studio time is 6am-10pm every day, and all time is booked in the studio. Firing fees are 3 cents per cubic inch. Tool kits can be purchased on the first day of class.
