Una clase de cerámica para principiantes que se enseña en español donde todos los niveles son bienvenidos para aprender y refinar sus habilidades.  Esta clase repasará los conceptos básicos en arcilla, desde la construcción manual con espirales, losa, pellizco y también usaremos el torno.  Realizaremos cualquier cosa, desde objetos esculturales hasta funcionales, teniendo en cuenta la forma y la aplicación de la superficie.

Arts access is important to Gasworks, so we're offering this sliding scale class to Latine for folks who want to work in clay in community with other Latine folks. We welcome immigrants, undocumented folks, and anyone who wants to learn about clay from a Latine perspective. The in-person class meets for 2.5 hours every Saturday and includes open studio access every day of the week. The class will cover wheel and handbuilding techniques. Students have access to clay, glaze, and open studio time is available every day from 6 am - 10 pm. Firing fees are 3 cents a cubic inch.  Open studio time must be scheduled. Tool kits can be purchased on the first day of class.
