Clay for the People (in-person)
Unavailable $55.00
Sept 22-Dec 8, Sundays 7:30-10p w/Kyle Lee
This is a class for black and brown folks in our community. Classes meet in person every Sunday 7:30-10pm and run for 12 weeks. This is a class to get comfortable with clay. Students will learn basic hand-building techniques and wheel-throwing techniques. For the purposes of this class, we are prioritizing people of African, Latin, Pacific Island, Middle Eastern or Native American descent, historically underrepresented groups in many American studios.
We use a sliding scale for this class. Please use the graphic on this page to help you determine how much to pay.
Students have access to clay, glaze and open studio time every day from 6 am - 11 pm. Firing fees are 3 cents per cubic inch. Open studio time must be scheduled. Tool kits can be purchased on the first day.
