This series of workshops will bring together the talents and perspectives of 10 women and gender non-conforming artists working in clay from around the country. Each week a different instructor will do an artist talk followed by a demonstration of one of their special skills or favorite techniques online via zoom. All classes will be recorded if you miss a class and you have access to the recordings for at least one year. We are now offering two price points: zoom only for $295 or take classes, have studio access, and the ability to fire at our studio for $495. BIPOC folks pay $150 or $250 with studio access. Note: there is no greenware storage at the studio with studio access.  Email cor@gasworksnyc.com for a discount code. Here's the lineup:

  • Jen Allen will do an artist talk followed by a demo on how she makes flower vases with high fire wire.
  • Katie Marks will do an artist talk followed by a demo on how she makes her smoking vessels.
  • Julissa Llosa Vite will do an artist talk followed by a demo on constructing pre-Columbian stirrup handle vessels
  • Naomi Clement will do an artist talk followed by a deep dive into handles and a short demo on texture and slabs
